Virtuoso ! That’s how Signatures Singulières Magazine defines Erwan Boulloud. This sculptor designs luxury furniture which on the one hand are functional and on the other hand can be compared to sculptures.
The beauty of the gesture
Former student of the “Ecole Boulle’’, Erwan Boulloud starts with simple material such as concrete, wood, steel or glass. Then the designer tries to transform it by using laser cutting and CNC machines. His intention is to reveal the depth of the furniture by using a set of junction. Actually a lot of audacity, absurdity and some singularity are characteristics of his creations.

His productive imagination is materialized in his studio of Pantin through furniture and lights which are unique or in limited editions. Traditions and materials are mistreated, just like this meteorite thrown on a coffee table that it cracks or this flight of drawers which flee from a column that was really classic at the beginning ! It’s disconcerting and fascinating at the same time and it lets the French savoir-faire evolve with time without yet forgetting its roots. Erwan Boulloud’s studio has received the label EPV (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant).
