DecThe setting of the Ile de la Cité is majestic and full of symbols. Signatures Singulières fell in love with this apartment signed by the interior designer firm CM Studio Paris. This exceptional place is hidden behind the facade of a 17th century mansion.
The Ile de la Cité, the historical cradle of the French capital
Around this district, you can find many must-see monuments such as Notre Dame Cathedral, the Sainte Chapelle, the Louvre museum… The interior designers John Coury and Florent Maillard were of course inspired by this historical environment when working on this renovation and decoration project.
Objects steeped in history
They have hunted around the world for old basins, period furniture, old fabrics and paintings. The setting gives this place a unique cachet. Especially since the two designers, steeped in French culture, are full of multi-cultural references. John Coury has for instance Syrian, Italian and English ancestry. Florent Maillard spent his adolescence in the Baie de Somme, a French region famous to painters for the beauty of its light.
Together, the two interior designers gave birth to CM Studio Paris. Just as the Ile de la Cité connects the right bank and the left bank of Paris, the duo strengthen the link between the East and the West.
