The New York showroom Par Excellence has decided to begin a new chapter in its existence with an address in the heart of the Noho district (344 Bowery).

An active presence across the Atlantic
A few months ago, Signatures Singulières applauded the strategy of Par Excellence to enhance and emphasize the value of craftsmanship in New York. As a reminder, it was the upholsterer Charles Jouffre who took the initiative to open a showroom in New York in 2016. The exceptional French know-how finally had a dedicated place on the East Coast. Since then, Par Excellence has continued to strengthen ties. These ties that unite the most recognized French artisans and the greatest interior designers from New York.
A growing success
And this approach has been successful! So, at the end of 2019 spring, Par Excellence entered a new phase in its existence with a new showroom in the heart of NoHo. They also have a new website, new partners, a new team and new projects!
A collaboration with Thomas Pheasant
For this new space, Par Excellence called on Thomas Pheasant, one of the greatest American interior designers. In addition to many major residential projects, Thomas Pheasant designed the White House guest house (Blair House). With the know-how of all the French partners of Par Excellence, Thomas Pheasant has imagined an exceptional place that will take shape in 2020.
Atelier Ricou, a new partner
In addition, a new partner has joined the Par Excellence team. A logical match as Atelier de Ricou has been present since 1989 in the field of decorative painting and the restoration of works of art. They have renovated the Venetian Room, a centerpiece of the New York Gilded Age. Par Excellence will also accompany the Atelier in their project to renovate the ballroom of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy on Fifth Avenue.
New project with Mathieu Lehanneur
In addition to their role as agents for French artisans in New York, Par Excellence carries out other projects like this collaboration with Mathieu Lehanneur. The artisans of Par Excellence produced The “Illuminations” collection, created by Mathieu Lehanneur for the AD Interiors 2018 show. The Art + Design show in NYC presented it at the show in November 2019. It is also on display in an exceptional secret place in a penthouse in the East Village.
