A contemporary vision on mountain luxury… while playing the traditional codes of the Tarentaise valley chalets in Savoie this is how the magazine Signatures Singulières describes Chalet A, located in Courchevel 1850. Conceived by French interior designer Sybille de Margerie the place offers an exclusive experience for a stay right at the feet of the slopes.

A singular signature
At the first sights you can feel Sybille de Margerie’s signature, the touch inspired by French savoir-faire. Unique modern art pieces and traditional materials blend to create a stunning space. Chalet A is an exceptional contemporary retreat where the language of colors, textures and surrounding winter sports rhymes with prestige.
Right from entrance scene is set
With wood, shades of tobacco, camel and beige grey, the entrance reflects bold decorative choices : leather, fur, bronze patina and blackened metal… Stained walnut and gray stone again for the floor on the first level. Which strengthens the blend of tradition and contemporary atmosphere. Defining without partitioning, clear concrete patina, natural or bleached wood millworks rhythm the space.
The climb continues towards the peaks
Second and third floors ‘decoration is in perfect harmony with surrounding ubiquitous nature. Majestic whiteness of the peaks is enhanced by touches of pearl gray and beige. Gray stone and wood parquet on the floor. Comfortable curly and natural wool carpets conduce to create a relaxing atmosphere in this soft harmony. An assortment of textures like flannel, knitting fabrics, velvet and old linen refine this flawlessly and cosy vibe.
